Description:Responsibilities include: Play an active role in the design, development, and testing of applications in a networking environment Plan and execute network and datacenter migration of applications including virtual cloud environments Collaborate with co-located and remote colleagues to solve technical issues. Validate large-scale application workflows in a cloud and datacenter/datacenter architecture Develop and execute tests, log and track issues and drive them to resolution with verification of bug fixes, document test results and research findings. Develop software/scripts as needed to assist in the systems validation process.Skills:troubleshoot, routing, network, switching, cisco routers, cisco networking, cisco switches, nexus, troubleshooting, automation, ccie certification, ccna, ccnpTop Skills Details:troubleshoot, routing, network, switching,cisco routers,cisco networking,cisco switches,nexus,troubleshootingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must Have: -Strong hands-on networking experience (to the protocol level) in both Data Center and ISP environments -Strong troubleshooting experience -Customer facing experience and customer service aptitude -Technical Skills: -Advanced knowledge of Routing and Switching protocols in Data Center and ISP environments -Data Center Platforms and Technology: Nexus, UCS -Exposure to ACI and/or VXLAN -Cisco IOS, NX-OS, and Nexus (must have) -Cisco core platforms: CRS, ASR 9K, ASR 1k (must have) -Familiarity with L2 Overlay technologies (VXLAN or NVGRE a plus) -Experience with iSCSI -Firewall and load balancing experience Nice to have skills: -Experience with Virtualization and VCenter -Provisioning and configuration management using Ansible -Exposure to tools such as WireShark, Spirent, or IXIA -Experience developing automation scripts, eg Ansible, to assist in the network configuration process Soft Skills -Ability to elicit technical requirements from internal and external (client) staff as well as through validation/testing results and turn them into client-facing specification documents -Ability to ramp up quickly on new tech and work outside of comfort zone and think at scale (they should demonstrate this by having certifications, examples of where/how they have ramped up quickly, etc) -Must possess excellent team and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working on geographically dispersed teams -Ability to use problem solving techniques to identify scope, and resolve difficult, intermittent and other technical issues at scaleExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
