Job Description:The Sr. Network Architect is responsible for leading the network design process and assist in the management and monitoring of the network. The Network Architect will work in collaboration with the network engineers, network administrators as well as other IT and business partners in the design, installation, and configuration of the network to achieve the established business and security requirements. The architect will assess the existing network technologies to improve the overall network performance, security, and efficiency. The Network Architect will recommend changes wherever required to achieve optimal performance and improved security. The network architect will participate in IT network audits and make recommendations for remediation of audit findings.In this role the network architect will follow a proper design methodology and framework to ensure that all areas of IT are represented properly including applications, infrastructure, security, operations and disaster recovery / business continuity. The architect will lead the development of network reference architecture for the organization.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAn experienced Network Architect familiar with Cisco networking best practices.An experienced Network Architect familiar with Cisco and Fortigate firewall best practices.An experienced Network Architect familiar with Citrix Netscaler best practices.Thorough knowledge of Networking and InfrastructureAn experienced Network Architect that has extensive experience in the design and implementation of network architectureDesign, install and support of Routing, Switching and Security/VPN technologies in the WAN/LAN environment.Ability to work effectively as part of the Network team

QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience with designing, configuring and troubleshooting complex networks.Extensive experience in organizing and leading workshop and requirements facilitation sessionsAbility to analyze business needs with a big picture view and ability to drive through to the detail levelExpert knowledge and experience in creating and updating Network Visio DiagramsExpert knowledge of routing protocols (e.g. EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and BGP) in a mixed environment.Expert Knowledge of VLAN technology, VTP and STP protocols.Expert knowledge and experience in VOIP and QoS.Expert knowledge in Access Control Lists, Firewalls, Citrix Netscalers, VPN technologies, Wi-Fi technologies, Enterprise Wireless technologies and other security technologies.Solid understanding of Cloud Based networking technologies and techniques.Solid understanding of network routers and switches. Experience with Cisco routers and switches is highly preferred.Knowledge of T1, T3, SONET, DWDM and OC technologies.Experience with Metro-Ethernet technologies.Experience in Network monitoring and management tools. Working knowledge of Solar Winds Orion is a must.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writingAbility to work independently or in a team setting.Ability to adjust to changing situations to meet emergencies, program changes or production requirements.Knowledge of the methods and techniques in producing network metrics reporting.Undergraduate degree (BS) in Computer Science, Telecommunications (or related technical degree)Relevant technical certification (current CCIE, CCNP)
