Senior Accountant

Description We are in search of a Senior Accountant to become a part of our team, primarily focusing on the payor contract and reinsurance accounting. Situated in Boston, Massachusetts, this role entails managing accounts receivable revenue accounting and ensuring accuracy in complex data and Excel models. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the accounting for payor contracts and reinsurance Manage accounts receivable and revenue accounting operations Upload necessary data to actuarial templates Ensure accurate booking of entries to correct places and reflect changes month-to-month Review and understand large data sets Perform account reconciliations and journal entries Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Conduct month-end close activities Analyze revenues to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial regulations. Requirements Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary. Experience with Journal Entries is required. Strong knowledge and practical usage of Microsoft Excel is essential. Must have experience with Month End Close procedures. Familiarity with Assumed Reinsurance is a key requirement. Ability to Analyze Revenues effectively is expected.
