Robotics Senior Electrical Engineer

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· BS / MS Electrical Engineering (or similar field)· 10 + years of experience in electrical, firmware and system level design· Ability to manage a small team, perform recruiting, and develop/mentor people; continually raises the bar and leads by example.· Expert in schematic entry, layout tools and design for manufacturability (familiarity with OrCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro tool flow is a plus)· Experience designing complex schematics containing analog and digital electronics· Experience with FPGAs, VHDL, microcontrollers, microprocessors and mixed-signal designs.· Experience with serial communication interfaces (CAN, SPI, Ethernet, etc)· Experience executing design reviews in front of interdisciplinary teams· Familiar with PCB layout design and best practices· Demonstrated strong ability to move seamlessly between levels of abstraction – from system to the "nuts and bolts” implementation· Extensive system design interfacing to a wide array of electro-mechanical subsystems and debugging experience· Commitment to rigorous testing practices and design process flows· Problem solver, "can do”, ”get any task done” attitude· Strong organizational and planning skills· Customer focused· Desire to work in a fast-paced environment· Demonstrated ability to develop deep understanding of the business and end user needs quickly, and can proficiently translate those needs into the right technology solution· Ability to resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective ways· Able to provide the customer and company-wide perspective to detailed technical decisions· Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills· Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the programPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Experience managing a small team, recruiting, and developing / mentoring people.· Experience applying IEC 60204 and/or IEC 61508 machinery safety standards preferred.· Experience designing, developing and certifying safety rated hardware systems is desirable.· Experience with the project management of technical projects a plus· Experience troubleshooting and resolving EMI/EMC issues
