Nursing Service Assistant - Center for Patient Placement - 14091

Job Description

Under general supervision, performs duties which support the staff's ability to provide patient care.

• Restocks and delivers supplies in treatment rooms, utility rooms and kitchen.
• Transports equipment from Patient Care Department to patient care units.
• Helps the Nursing office with special projects, including delivering and sorting the mail.
• Helps the Staffing office with special projects, including delivering specialty supplies to floor/unit or nursing supply room.
• Nursing Service Assistants do not participate in providing direct clinical care to patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to interpret and act on data needed, providing follow through on instructions.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of medical equipment/supplies and their intended uses.
• Strong Interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, families and staff.
