Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine

Job Description

Performs and supervises the performance of a variety of nuclear pediatric (i.e. mag 3 lasix scans, OMSA renal scans, VCU6 scans, lung perfusion, etc.). Performs computer analysis on each test. Trains technologists, radiology residents, and students in nuclear pediatric procedures. Strong leadership and teaching skills helpful.

Qualifications

  • Completion of two-year program in Nuclear Medicine technology with successful completion of board certification.
  • 2-3 years of experience with extensive nuclear pediatric technology.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area.
  • Participation in local and/or national technologist/nuclear pediatric organizations desirable.
  • Ability to stand or walk most of the day with occasional lifting and positioning of adult patients and lead shield (40 lbs.) and pushing of heavy collimators.
