Reporting to the Sr. Manager, FP&A, this role will engage in a wide range of reporting activities, consolidation processes, and strategic planning work, including projects and opportunities for high visibility with senior leadership.Key Responsibilities:Own the timely & accurate reporting of monthly/quarterly financial results and forecasts. Drive visibility into trends influencing revenue, earnings and working capital for AIG
Support Sr. Director of Finance in driving adherence to all Corporate reporting deliverables and being a central point of contact for Corporate and the AIG divisions. Be the key Finance contact for AIG to disseminate and distribute ad hoc requests and action items.
Managed AIG HQ R&D ($21M) and G&A ($58M) budget. Partner with functional leaders in R&D, Finance, Legal and Operations to develop clear and accurate budgets and forecasts, track and report spending progress, and implement and ensure controls around investment commitments
Develop improved and insightful reporting and analysis of AIG’s key strategic initiatives, ensuring funding levels are managed carefully and ROIs achieved
Support the Sr. Manager / Sr. Director in the administration and compilation of the quarterly business review (QBR), long range strategic plan (STRAP), and annual operating plan (AOP) deliverables, collaborating across divisions and ensuring all requirements are met
Support the timely & accurate consolidation of monthly forecasts and monthly/quarterly business review packages, working closely with divisional Finance leaders
Be a champion of finance transformation initiatives by evangelizing solutions that will automate reporting, forecasting and consolidations
Manage a team of 1 responsible for reporting and consolidations
Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting, or successful completion of Thermo Fishers’ Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP)
Skilled in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Working knowledge of SQL/Other query languages, VBA/Other scripting languages and Data Visualization software/PowerBI/Tableau.
Experience managing headcount information in Workday is a plus.
Organized, detail-oriented, with ability to maintain accuracy of information and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and develop strong partnerships across multiple disciplines within a large organizational structure
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Team player attitude
