Dr. Rhoda Au's Precision Brain Health Initiative (PBHI) at the BU School of Medicine is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Developer/Research Assistant I to join our team. This individual will be responsible for:

Data Integration and Management: Position will assist in the integration and sharing of digital and blood-based research data with the Alzheimer’s Disease Data Initiative (ADDI) platform. Position will work closely with senior team members to help manage data workflows and ensure data integrity is maintained. Position will also help monitor and address any issues related to data integration promptly. Lastly, the position would provide support in documenting and optimizing data integration processes to enhance research collaboration efforts.

Tool Development: Position will aid in the creation and maintenance of internal tools designed to automate various operational and project management tasks. Position will collaborate with the development team to identify areas where automation can enhance efficiency. Position will provide support in testing and refining these tools to ensure they meet the team's needs.

Technology Assessment: Position will help develop scripts to evaluate new technologies and assess their potential for integration and compatibility with existing systems. Position will participate in thorough testing processes to ensure new technologies meet required standards. Position will support the team in documenting findings and providing recommendations based on the assessments.

Report Building: Position will assist in creating detailed reports to characterize and visualize data. Position will work with senior team members to interpret data insights effectively. Position will help present these insights in a clear and actionable manner to support ongoing research initiatives and decision-making processes.

Required SkillsThis position is ideal for candidates with a high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and 1-3 years of experience in a related field. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our digital and blood-based research data initiatives, enhancing global research collaboration, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
