job summary:
Looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Analyst. Supporting the Azure Cloud Infrastructure and daily operations. Responsibilities include the daily monitoring of the incoming Help Desk calls, system notifications/alarms, nightly operations processes, and server backups. The incumbent will also troubleshoot and solve, with the assistance of vendors if necessary, all problems that may arise within the Cloud/IT infrastructure. The Analyst will also oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware (both server and personal computer). The Analyst will also work with supporting vendors plus internal staff to design, develop, test, and implement new applications. location: Boston, Massachusettsjob type: Permanentsalary: $90,000 - 100,000 per yearwork hours: 9am to 6pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:- IT Data Center Infrastructure: Be responsible for the maintenance, upgrades, and other changes to company's hosted private and public cloud infrastructure. Work with key vendors to manage the environment and to transition to new cloud services in the future.- Network Security Infrastructure: Manage Firewalls, VPN routers, network infrastructure and remote access systems- Problem Resolution: Responsible for overseeing the resolution of problems including hardware, software, network etc. Ensure that problems are resolved in a timely fashion- IT Planning: Participate in planning for IT department projects/services- Application Architecture: Work with IT management, staff, and business units to define the company Enterprise Architecture- New Technology: Research, test, and recommend for implementation any new technology that will improve IT processes- Software Maintenance: Responsible for ensuring that the software/applications in use are maintained/patched when necessary and upgraded as needed. This includes both applications and operating systems software- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT infrastructure vendors to ensure high quality delivery of service.
