How Does Your Circadian Rhythm Boost Exercise? Join the PACE Study!

Did you know your body has an internal clock that affects almost everything you do—including how

you respond to exercise? We’re studying whether the body clock (circadian rhythms) can impact

the health benefits you get from physical activity. You don’t need to be a regular exerciser to

participate. By joining our research study, you’ll help us uncover new ways to optimize exercise for

Eligibility Criteria:

18-45 years of age

Body Mass Index 18.5-34.9 kg/m2

Nondiabetic

Non-smokers, no current tobacco or e-cigarette use

No drug or alcohol dependency

Healthy with no acute or chronic medical and psychiatric disorders

Not pregnant or breastfeeding within the past 6 months

Study information:

4-5 screening visits

Two 3-day in-laboratory stays at BWH

Total duration of study about 9-16 weeks

In-lab exercise test

Peak VO2 test and in-lab cycling session

Continuous blood pressure monitoring

Frequent blood sampling

Urine collection

Be paid up to $2,250 for your participation
