Fire Protection Engineering Sr. Associate / Life Safety Sr. Consultant

This role is specifically within the SLS division of SOCOTEC. SLS/SOCOTEC is seeking dependable and proactive applicants focused on continuous improvement to join our team.Senior Associates will work on our accomplished team to design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems that integrate seamlessly with other building systems to achieve a safe and code compliant building design. Projects will focus on adherence to quality standards through plan reviews and technical reports. Projects will have components of but will not be limited to the following: egress design, code research, smoke control system design, fire-resistant construction analysis, performance-based design, fire sprinkler design, and hazardous material analysis.Senior Associates are expected to have strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills to effectively support team efficiency and exceed client expectations. Associates should also be detail oriented and possess superior problem-solving skills, as seamless integration of compliance criteria aligned with the design intent for each project is SLS’s ultimate goal.Independently manage projects with supporting staffManage assigned tasksEffectively manage project budget throughout all phases of the projectDevelop project scope and pricing for proposal preparationPrepare monthly invoicing and assist in AR follow upMentor and train Associates supporting project workPerform tasks associated with project deliverables, including but not limited to the following: writing code reports outlining the compliance approach for the project; perform code reviews of project plans for compliance with applicable codes; preform on-site inspections; conduct performance-based designs; conduct hazardous material/laboratory analyses; conduct special inspections of smoke control, firestopping, and fireproofing; etc.Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manage
