CBRE GWS delivers consistent, measurably superior outcomes for our clients at every stage of the lifecycle, and across industries and geographies.About the roleAs a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will lead a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.There will be about 25% of travel required.What you’ll do

Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Schedule and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Coordinate and handle facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.

Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.

Prepare and lead capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.

Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

Lead environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.

Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.

Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety standard processes.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.

Must hold experience overseeing multiple sites which will require about 25% travel to NY and Philadelphia.

Nice to have Facilities Management experience including Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical, Hospital/ Healthcare and/or other regulated facilities environments.

Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.

Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job and department.

Extensive organizational strengths with a strong inquisitive approach.

Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
