The Business Development Director is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company by partnering with RRD Sales to identify new business opportunities with existing customers, leveraging strategic partnerships, and leading initiatives that enhance the company’s market presence. This role requires a deep understanding of business, financials, RRD products/services, and the challenges of clients.ResponsibilitiesLeads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercisejudgment and identify innovative sales solutions.Anticipates and understands customer/account needs, feedback, and objections, and identifiesand explains solutions.Uses a high degree of judgment, discretion, and creativity to persuade customers/accounts toadopt a favorable view and decide to buy.Anticipates and understands customer/account needs, feedback, and objections, and identifiesand explains solutions.Develops colleagues’ and customers’ understanding of services and solutions.Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.Explore and evaluate new business opportunities, including existing and potential clients,partnerships, and markets.Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, andindustry leaders.Act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners.Oversee the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients and partners.Ensure that all proposals align with the company’s strategic objectives and value proposition.Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure alignment onbusiness goals and messaging.Collaborate with senior management to define and prioritize business development initiatives.Contributes to sales teams on negotiations with large/important/regional accounts.
