 Oxfam America, Inc. seeks Associate Director, Inclusive Value Chains & Private Sector in Boston, MA: The Associate Director, Inclusive Value Chains & Private Sector will lead & grow Oxfam America’s Inclusive Value Chains programming & to support Private Sector Department (PSD) work with investors. Duties include: Lead dev. of & oversee Inclusive Value Chains (IVC) program portfolio: Oversee follow-through & accountability dimensions the Behind the Brands campaign with respect to US companies; Oversee the successful dev. & execution of a new multi-country multi-affiliate program – Behind the Brands 1.1; Regularly convene leads of IVC initiatives – including BtB 1.1, Food & Beverage corporate campaigns, US Foodworker Justice Program, & Agribusiness & Land Rights – to develop an overarching strategy & to ensure overall coherence of the portfolio; Ensure Inclusive Value Chain grants made to countries adhere to program quality standards & managed to build high-value relationships with key country offices while ensure OUS fiduciary responsibilities; Ensure strategic fit of new initiatives – including new fundraising proposals - related to IVC; Oversee -& execute where appropriate – a robust fundraising strategy that secures funding for high priority IVC initiatives; Strengthen OUS networking through written products & engagement of supporters & partners on IVC issues; Oversee learning & thought-leadership agenda related to IVC, including research & data generated from MEL systems; &, As a member of Inclusive & Resilient Food Systems senior team, contributes to strategy, prioritization, learning & accountability that brings coherence to the work of & advances goals of the theme. Oversight of corporate account management & of dev. & execution of Oxfam Investor strategy: Manage & guide specific OUS corporate account managers, primarily but not exclusively focused on food, beverage & agribusiness companies, on behalf of the Oxfam confederation; Develop, execute, assess & evolve strategies for effective engagement; Manage & guide work of Oxfam Investor team, including work on impact investment, shareholder advocacy, & social enterprise investment & innovation; Guide dev. of financial sector strategy, including fundraising; &, Participate in speaking opp. to bring OUS’s perspective on Private Sector to lay, professional & academic audiences. Develop & guide Oxfam Private Sector innovation & corporate partnership pipeline: Prov. dir. & support to Oxfam initiatives aimed at reviewing, piloting & dev. pro-poor market systems proj.; Help screen & guide new private sector opp. as they emerge; &, Work with fundraising colleagues to develop & advance a principled approach to private sector program partnerships, including funded partnerships. Leadership, Management & Operations: Engage as a full member of the PSD Management Team, providing leadership on strategy, operations, budgeting, reporting & learning/evaluation; Collaborate with peers in Oxfam International & Oxfam affiliates to develop & execute increasingly strong Food Systems & Private Sector initiatives; Prov. critical support to PSD & Food Systems fundraising efforts, including donor identification, donor cultivation, preparation of proposals, & project reporting; Supervise direct reports through coaching, goal setting, staff dev. & staff appraisals; Develop opp. for staff dev.; Recruit & supervise consultants & interns; &, Stay abreast of relevant professional standards, trends & issues, & demonstrate continuous learning. Directly supervise 5 employees including, Senior Advisor Advocacy & Engagement, Senior Advisor, IVC & County Engagement & land Rights, Company Engagement Lead, IVC & Private Sector, Advisor, Private Sector Climate-Resilience & IVC, & Advisor, Gender Justice. Employee may work from home within commuting distance from worksite, in accordance with employer policies. Minimum Requirements:  Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Psychology, International Development, or a closely related field & 5 years of experience leading strategies for large-scale programs for companies or organizations within specific industries including, food & beverage, agribusiness, and/or issues such as climate change, sustainability, or natural resource rights. Domestic & international travel required at least 20% of time to various Oxfam locations. Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently: 3 years of experience managing $1M+ budgets.5 years of experience supervising & overseeing the work of professional employees.5 years of experience strategies for large-scale programs including underlying strategies for company engagement and for commodity transformation. Employee may work from home within commuting distance from worksite, in accordance with employer policies. Worksite: 77 North Washington Street Suite 500, Boston, MA 02114.
