Quality Engineer – Metal Manufacturing

- Location: Beverly, MA

- Pay: $50 - $60/hr (DOE)

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Thursday (10-hour shifts: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM) with flexibility to stay late as needed

Are you a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a passion for precision metal manufacturing? This is your opportunity to join a leading global supplier of high-quality machined and fabricated components serving aerospace, power generation, and commercial industries.

We’re looking for a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in metal fabrication and familiarity with AS9100 D & AS13100 industry standards to support and enhance our quality assurance processes. What You’ll Be Doing:

- Review engineering drawings and manufacturing routers to ensure compliance with customer requirements

- Initiate First Article Inspection (FAI) & SPS requirements for new jobs

- Manage calibration & internal audit programs, ensuring adherence to industry standards

- Support 3rd party, special process, and customer quality system audits

- Act as a key backup for the Quality Manager and Lead Inspector

- Work closely with manufacturing teams to improve quality processes and ensure high-precision production

What We’re Looking For:

- Experience in metal fabrication, including exotic metals, stainless steel, and mild steel

- Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to read & interpret machining and fabrication drawings

- Hands-on experience with standard quality control measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)

- Knowledge of NDT processes (FPI & X-ray)

- Experience with CMM (Romer Arm) & Laser Lab Testing is a plus!

- Excellent organizational skills to create & maintain inspection reports, bubble drawings, and revision documentation
