Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Hardware Engineering , to join a cutting-edge technology company located in Boston, MA . The Director of Hardware Engineering will oversee and guide the daily operations of the hardware engineering team that includes mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers.
Responsibilities of the Director of Hardware Engineering include: • Build and oversee a highly functional team that grows talent and successfully delivers the product portfolio • Mentor, direct, and coach members of the hardware engineering team to ensure best practices that lead to long-term success • Closely interface with Project Management to identify emerging engineering trends and successfully fulfill customer requirements • Collaborate with internal and external partners to explore and understand emerging technology trends, and communicate these findings to the design and development teams • Provide oversight to development programs that create products that align and fulfill the product roadmap • Strategize and direct best practices for the engineering team to ensure scalability and performance Qualifications for the Director of Hardware Engineering include: • BA/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • 10+ years of experience in electromechanical engineering such as robotics, wearables, or related field • 3+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams • Experience building a mission-critical platform that can scale to support large enterprises • Ability to utilize programming language such as C/C Compensation for the Director of Hardware Engineering includes: • Salary Range: $180,000-$190,000 + equity depending on experience • Benefits: 75% Medical Coverage, 100% Dental & Vision, Unlimited PTO, Paid Holidays, equity Keywords: director of hardware engineering, hardware engineering, hardware engineer, director, c, c, robotics, robots, drone technology, drones, mobile software, mobile, demonstrations, technical, project management, mechanical engineer, mechanical engineering, electrical engineer, electrical engineering, computer science, computer, engineering, wearables, algorithms, firmware, ee, meche, mech e, mobile app, manage, mgr, embedded, mcus, microchip, electromyography, Bluetooth, boston, ma, massachusettsVacancy caducado!
