About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced bilingual and reliable Head of Housekeeping to lead our cleaning team and ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standard. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Cleaning Duties
Oversee and ensure all areas are consistently cleaned to the highest standard, including:
Common areas, laundry rooms
Entrances, hallways, and stairwells
Perform regular inspections of cleaned areas and units to maintain quality standards.
Address immediate cleaning needs as they arise.
2. Team Coordination and Supervision
Assign daily tasks to cleaning staff and ensure they have the necessary supplies and equipment.
Monitor team performance, providing ongoing guidance, training, and support.
Communicate changes in cleaning schedules, procedures, or new instructions effectively to the team.
3. Inventory Management
Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and reorder as needed.
Track and manage the usage of cleaning products, ensuring proper storage and safe handling.
Conduct regular equipment checks and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.
4. Special Projects and Deep Cleaning
Schedule and supervise deep cleaning projects (e.g., carpet shampooing, window washing).
Coordinate with management for special cleaning tasks or specific project requirements.
5. Reporting
Report major cleaning challenges, recurring issues, or areas needing improvement to management.
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance issues or repairs related to cleaning operations and equipment.
6. Scheduling
Prepare and manage the weekly cleaning schedule for all staff.
Coordinate with management regarding time-off requests and adjust schedules as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in housekeeping or cleaning supervisory roles.
Speaks both Spanish and English
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good communication skills and the ability to give clear instructions.
Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safety protocols.
