Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of our established real estate development company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly in real estate, and will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions as well as working with the outside tax accountants at year end.

Key Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of bookkeeping, including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

Prepare financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports

Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations

Handle insurance policies/ workman’s comp audits

Reconcile monthly credit card statements

Vehicle registration renewals

Send monthly invoices/statements to tenants

CAM charges

Manage vendor payments, expense tracking, and job cost accounting.

Coordinate with external CPAs for tax filings and financial audits

Maintain organized financial records and ensure accurate data entry

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior financial role in real estate or construction.

Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), financial reporting, and project accounting.

Experience with real estate development financials, including project costing, draw schedules, and property management.

Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks – desktop/online a must) and advanced Microsoft Office - Excel skills.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
