Full time Bookkeeper needed onsite at a small manufacturing company in Hopkinton
Job Responsibilities:
Book Bank and Credit Card Transactions:
Accurately record all bank and credit card transactions into the company’s accounting system.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and categorized.
Reconcile Monthly Bank and Credit Card Statements:
Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Create Invoices and Packing Slips:
Generate invoices for customers and ensure they are accurate and timely.
Prepare packing slips for the shipping department, ensuring all shipment details are correct.
Purchase Office & Warehouse Supplies:
Manage inventory and purchase office and warehouse supplies as needed.
Ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner to avoid disruptions in operations.
Review Weekly Accounts Receivable:
Monitor accounts receivable on a weekly basis.
Follow up on overdue payments and communicate with clients to ensure timely collection.
Review Weekly Accounts Payable:
Monitor accounts payable weekly and process payments by their due dates.
Ensure all bills are paid on time and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications:
Experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with QuickBooks
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks.
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a small business environment.
