Overview The Software Development Intern (SDI) will partner with
cross-functional leaders to assist in developing software applications
to improve business processes. The SDI is a temporary hourly position
with standard working hours, Monday through Friday. Qualifications
-Rising Jr. or Sr. pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, or a related field. -Proficiency in at least one
programming languages such as Python, .NET, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
-Database Management (MSSQL, MySQL) and version control systems (Git).
-Experience with web frameworks (e.g., Wordpress, Flask, Django) and
RESTful APIs. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements This position typically works
in an office environment, but duties may occasionally need to be
performed in the food manufacturing environment that requires the
ability to adhere to all GMP, Food Safety, workplace safety and security
policies including wearing required personal protective equipment, as
well hair net, beard net, etc. as required. Responsibilities -Write
clean, efficient, and well-documented code using programming languages
such as Python or .NET -Work with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) to store
and retrieve data effectively. -Troubleshoot and debug issues to
maintain system stability -Sample Project Work: Project #1 ?
Streamline Order Management System databases to develop business
applications. Collect feedback from key stakeholders, design datasets,
produce front-end application to access data -Project #2 ? Refactor
existing software scripts for future deployments in applications.
Develop, migrate and standardize the version control process with Git.
Develop an SOP for future developers Project #3 ? Develop user
interfaces for internal tools to streamline workflow efficiency.
Integrate these tools into existing web-based .NET applications for
broader business adoption. Project #4 ? Collect business user
requirements, looking for opportunities to automate manual, low
value-added activities. For example, streamline form generation based on
existing database values. Recommend projects for prioritization. -Other
