Fortune Top 50 Company.Director Reporting & Data AnalysisOffice based position (not-remote) and it can be located at any Anthem office location within the United States.Responsible for leading the business unit’s
data and analytics strategy using data as a means of guiding
decision making, promoting vendor accountability, and supporting strategic
initiatives.Primary
duties may include, but are not limited to:
Plans, directs, and controls the resources and efforts of advancedanalytics solutions team to accomplish the company objectives throughinformation management and solution strategy
Partners with Network Management Directors to developmetrics and program/project reporting tools that provide the data necessary tosupport strategic business decisions
Oversees and/or coordinates the development offormal, comprehensive data gathering, operational policies and procedures, andreporting methods that supports the organization
Identifies opportunities and leads developmentof innovative approaches to healthcare data analysis
Reviews historical financial data, financialprojections, and results and develops reports that will enable seniorleadership to better understand and interpret this data
Analyzes complex business issues and developsbusiness/project plans and program implementation plans to ensureorganizational effectiveness and vendor compliance with contract terms.
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for vendors
Implements the policies, practices, and procedures of the companyand business units supported
Establishes relationships with business, IT and data sciencepartners both internal and external
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance ofdirect reports
Develops a strong team through training and effectiveorganizational development practices
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on enterprise and inter-regionalvendor initiatives
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues innon-technical terms
RequiresBachelor's degree and 10+ years’experience indirecting large-scale projects, implementation processes and teamsorany combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalentbackground.
Data analysis and reporting in health-careand/or federal regulatory environment preferred
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid health plans preferred
Prior leadership or management experience required
Executive communication preferred
Strong and Effective communication skills, including facilitation,consultation, negotiation and persuasion required.
Strongly prefer candidates who code and source data; idealcandidate will have experience with SQL, Teradata, and Tableau
CPA or MBA preferred
