Analytical Scientist – Bioprocess Support

The candidate will support a client group that is responsible for developing robust and efficient purification processes of recombinant proteins and other biological therapeutics from the early to late stages of development.We are seeking an analytical scientist who will work in a collaborative environment to be engaged in the analysis, monitoring, and characterization of in-process samples to support the group in improving process performance by optimizing product recovery and impurity removal. This role will provide routine analytical testing. Knowledge and expertise in analytical biochemical techniques are a must, ideally including real-time qPCR, ELISA, HPLC, and capillary gel electrophoresis (CGE). The successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently, be accountable for their results and prioritize their workflow, and seek opportunities to take on new projects.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:Perform analytical chemistry techniques to characterize and monitor protein purification processes.Utilize a broad range of separation, chromatographic, spectroscopic, and detection methods.Execute hands-on techniques, including, but not limited to:RT-qPCRUPLC/HPLC (size-exclusion, hydrophobic, ion-exchange, affinity)ELISACGEProvide high-quality data to support product development throughout all clinical phases in a timely manner.Interpret and assess experimental data using analytical tools.Maintain accurate and compliant written records (electronic lab notebooks and databases) in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.Lead routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab instruments and systems.Collaborate with internal teams or external vendors to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations.Preferably utilize Empower software for instrument control and data analysis.
