Accounting Assistant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in ACTON, Massachusetts. The role entails overseeing and executing the processes of customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and monitoring customer credit accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving customer credit inquiries and collecting delinquent payments.Responsibilities: Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintenance and updating of customer credit records Monitoring of customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action on delinquent payments Importing and reconciling files to ensure data accuracy Running and analyzing reports Retrieving information from the system for reference and record-keeping Providing customer service through email, phone, and in-person interactions Data entry and invoice input in SAP Performing accounting entries as required.Requirements Possess at least one year of experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar role Proficient in accounting entries and data entry Ability to accurately enter invoices in a timely manner Experience with SAP or similar accounting software Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
