Sr. Grant Accountant

Description We are in search of a Senior Grant Accountant to join our team in Towson, Maryland. This role is instrumental in the accounting department and will focus primarily on grant accounting within the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and will be offered a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Oversee the full cycle of grant accounting processes and ensure adherence to compliance regulations Utilize accounting software systems to process, track, and record financial transactions Regularly perform auditing of financial statements and grant-related transactions Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting Work with the ADP Financial Services system for payroll processing and other HR-related financial functions Utilize the CCH Sales Tax system for accurate calculation and filing of sales tax Work with the ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system for integrated management of main business processes Ensure compliance with HUD regulations in relation to grant accounting and reporting Oversee accounting functions and ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reportsRequirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience in Auditing is essential Compliance expertise is a must Proven ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements Experience in Grant Accounting is necessary Knowledge of HUD regulations is required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
