- Must be able to integrate the needs of end users, Product Service, and Manufacturing to provide optimum designs that exceed competitive product.
- Expected to evaluate, approve, and implement engineering change orders.
- Expected to write test procedures, testplansand assist in the development of fixtures and test equipment.
- Able to create 2D drawings, stack up analysis and possess a firm understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Expected to create and maintain drawings and bill of materials in product lifecycle management system
- Expected to approve FPIs and completed tests.
- Must have a firm understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Expected to perform technical feasibility analysis and present results
- Expected to create working models of new product concepts using 3D design software and building physical prototypes.
- Expected to utilize lab test equipment such asdata collection equipment, power supply and electronic load to conduct testing
- Expected to lead project(s) through milestone process, serving as cross functional team leader in a matrixed organization while reporting progress to leadership
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-8 years of engineering design experience.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills and ability to mentor and lead engineering team.
- Familiar designing heat sinks, plastic injection molded parts, die cast parts, stamped parts, and the associated plating process.
- Experience with high volume consumer products manufacturing preferred.
- Proficient in Catia V5 or equivalent 3D CAD software (Pro-E,etc).
- Experience in Lithium battery systems is preferred.
- Experience working with Far East suppliers preferred.
- Strong Communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated hands-on problem-solving skills and can-do attitude.
