Accounting Assistant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in TIMONIUM, Maryland, United States. The role entails a broad range of accounting responsibilities including handling accounts payable and receivable, monitoring bank accounts and cash flow, scheduling appointments, answering phones, handling basic customer inquiries, and data entry. Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing Monitor bank accounts and cash flow, providing regular updates to the team Schedule appointments, coordinating with various team members and stakeholders Answer phones and handle basic customer inquiries, providing excellent customer service Conduct data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Excel, to complete tasks efficiently Exercise knowledge of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Billing Functions Regularly review and manage Cash Activity, providing updates and reports as necessary Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting Assistant role or similar position Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites are essential Familiarity with Accounting Functions such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing Functions, and Cash Activity Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be advantageous.
