We harness the power of 3D printing, advanced joining techniques like friction stir welding, and cutting-edge design tools to tackle complex challenges for a diverse set of clients.Key Responsibilities: The duties of this position will involve design of mechanical systems for a broad base of applications. Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial industrial, military, or scientific use. Candidate will develop design concepts, calculations, material selection, and other pertinent information required to complete the assigned design activity. Candidate must be able to produce solid models and documentation of designs and see them through to prototype manufacturing. Candidate will be required to work closely with project teams consisting of CAD and Shop technicians and be a part of teams consisting of other mechanical, electrical and materials engineers. Candidate will interact with vendors supplying fabrication services and will define fabrication processes of designs. Candidate will be required to assist in scheduling tasks and estimate labor hours and materials costs for design development and prototyping. Create detailed manufacturing drawings for components and assemblies utilizing an understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups. Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.Basic Qualifications: Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, with 4-6 years of experience OR a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, with 2-4 years of experience. Strong proficiency with ASME drafting standards and GD&T  Candidate must be proficient in designing and creating complex parametric 3-D models and assemblies utilizing Pro/Engineer, Solid Edge, Solid Works and/or AutoCADPreferred Qualifications: Candidate must be proficient in designing and creating complex parametric 3-D models and assemblies utilizing Pro/Engineer, Solid Edge, Solid Works and/or AutoCAD. Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of standard fabrications processes including machining, welding and assembly. Works well in a team environment Strong problem solving skillsWhy CTC?
