Position Summary:
The Dental Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the business functions of the practice, including patient relations, staff management, scheduling, billing, insurance, compliance, and office efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the dental office.
Work on accounts receivable and keep the number in a reasonable range.
Follow up with Insurance to make sure that claims are getting paid.
Supervise, train, and support front desk and administrative staff.
Oversee patient scheduling, treatment coordination, and case acceptance.
Monitor billing, collections, and insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all regulatory standards.
Develop and implement office policies and procedures to maximize efficiency.
Recruit, hire, and evaluate staff performance, fostering a positive team culture.
Monitor practice financials, prepare reports, and support growth initiatives.
Address and resolve patient concerns to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in dental or medical office management (required).
Strong knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and claims procedures.
Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and dental compliance regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
Prior experience in a multi-provider dental practice.
CPR and OSHA certification.
