Denison Landscaping, Inc. is a family owned business in operation for more than 45 years. We service the Mid-Atlantic, Delmar, Delaware and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We have an opening for a "Controller" in our accounting division. Duties are as follows but will not be limited to:
Responsibilities:
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
Coordinating activities of external auditors
Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
Managing the budget process
Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs
Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, accounting
10+ years proven accounting experience
Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
Strong working knowledge of detained financial data analysis
CPA highly preferred
Proficient with Excel
Experience with Vista Viewpoint a plus
