Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD

Description:The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) will provide assessment and management of patients in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings which include the Labor and Delivery unit, the High Risk Perinatal Center Unit, Mother/Baby Unit, the outpatient Ob/Gyn practice, and OB Triage, including active labor patients, both high risk and low risk, and outpatients presenting with various complaints both of an emergent and non-emergent nature.Responsibilities:

Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage delivery complications.

Monitoring fetal heartbeat, as well as administering medication, coaching the mother and assisting with any complications that arise during delivery.

Assist and circulate in operating room for cesarean sections, tubal, and emergency obstetric and gynecological procedures.

Charting via electronic medical records using Cerner, transitioning to EPIC

Coordinate with the patient safety nurses that are present 24 hours for deliveries, run codes and assist with high-risk deliveries.

What you will need:Required:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program and Nurse Midwife program.

NCC EFM Certification within six (6) months of hire.

Must qualify for prescriptive authority (CDS and DEA).

Meets credentialing and privileging requirements of Holy Cross Hospital.

Ability to work within a team and take direction.

Must be familiar with the EHR medical charting system.

Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
