Apex Systems is looking for a multiple Java Developers in Montgomery County, MD!

Pay: Competitive based on experience Location: Remote Job: Updating an API center to support data access and dissemination Title: Java Developer (Mid-Sr)

Summary Support the development and expansion of a Data API platform to help customers manage their compliance and market data. The focus will be on expanding current capabilities to increase automation.

This will be a heavy back-end Java development position.

Job Responsibilities
  • Grok complex business requirements
  • Provide tech expertise for analysis, design, and modeling work
  • Be delivery-focused
  • Be quality-focused
  • Design, develop, implement, test, deploy, and support Java-based software in the AWS Cloud
  • Ensure security and compliance requirements are met

Experience & Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience required, including some commercial/non-government work
  • Hands on experience designing, developing, implementing, testing, and deploying large scale Java/J2EE projects on AWS
  • Believes in Scrum/Agile, and has experience delivering software when working on teams that use Scrum/Agile methodology

Required Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Java Dev:
    • Spring stack (DI, AOP, Security, Boot, etc.)
    • JPA/Hibernate/Spring Data
    • REST APIs
    • Unit testing (JUnit, RestAssured, etc)
    • DB/SQL (PostgreSQL)
    • Git/Maven/Gradle
  • UI Dev
    • Angular
    • REST APIs
    • Experience with UX
  • AWS: Lamba and Elastic Search
