Description Robert Half is recruiting for an AR Manager to join a growing nonprofit in Potomac, MD! This person will not manage a team but will manage the AR process. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of donations, and enhancing systems for streamlined financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to the success of a nonprofit organization.Key Responsibilities:

Donation Processing: Manage the end-to-end process of recording and processing donations from various sources, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Member Engagement: Communicate with members to address inquiries, acknowledge contributions, and foster positive relationships. Provide excellent customer service to enhance the donor experience.

Systems Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounts receivable systems and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Implement best practices for financial operations.

Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze regular reports related to accounts receivable, providing insights and recommendations to the finance team for decision-making.

Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, donor information, and member interactions. Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive financial data.

Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, fundraising department, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of financial activities.

Compliance: Stay informed about relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the organization's adherence to all applicable standards.

Requirements - Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

Deep understanding of Donations

Accounts receivables systems experience

Salesforce Platform experience

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired

Experience with non-profit fund accounting

Proven knowledge of customer service

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

Relevant experience in accounts receivable

Knowledgeable of ERP systems

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
