Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Solar ProjectJob DescriptionWe are seeking skilled heavy equipment operators for a large-scale solar project. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience with track hoe and bulldozer operations, as well as proficiency in using GPS systems such as Trimble and Topcon. Operators will be responsible for grading arrays, installing access roads, basin installs and rework, building retention ponds, constructing spillways, and loading trucks. Additional duties include assisting with labor and erosion control tasks, and operating skid steers, articulated haul trucks, and front-end loaders. Safety and equipment maintenance are top priorities.Responsibilities
Grade for solar arrays and install access roads.
Perform basin installs and rework.
Build retention ponds and spillways.
Load trucks with dirt, debris, and materials.
Use GPS systems (Trimble/Topcon) for operations.
Assist with labor and erosion control duties.
Operate skid steers, articulated haul trucks, and front-end loaders.
Maintain and safely operate heavy equipment.
Mass grade, push fill, cut slopes, and fine grade with bulldozers.
Load trucks, dig trenches, build retention ponds, and cut slopes for basins with track hoes.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment on solar farms or projects.
2-3 years of experience with skid steer operation.
Proficiency with GPS systems (Trimble/Topcon).
Experience in civil and solar PV projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
No specific certification required.
