Our wide breadth of technologies and capabilities allows us to provide our customers with unique “More than Moore” solutions.The Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) department is seeking Systems Engineer to join our team and develop these technologies into high-performance computing systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality.What You’ll Get to Do:

Leads team responsible for the design and development and integration of facility wide systems in support of a larger a manufacturing organization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in areas of design, manufacturing and R&D to develop and implement innovative solutions to evolving needs of new or existing manufacturing operations.

Support new and existing facility development and ensure that systems are designed for scalability, maintainability and efficiency.

Responsible for schedule execution, escalation of issues, and providing team direction and clarity.

Review and guide team activities in modeling and simulation, trade studies and generation of system engineering documentation for completeness accuracy.

Provide regular reports to management on system performance and project status.

Apply systems engineering best practices, principals, and concepts to manufacturing facilities development activities.

Serves as a role model and sets the example, whose behavior is emulated by other engineering team members.

Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required.

This position will serve on-site in Linthicum/ Annapolis Junction, MD.Basic Qualifications for Sr. Staff System Engineer:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a similar technical discipline with 14 years of related experience, or 12 years with a master’s degree, or 9 years with a PhD.

Experience in the following system engineering knowledge areas: technical planning, requirements derivation, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, cost and risk analysis, interface definition, system design, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Demonstrated ability to drive execution of Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors and work cross team.

Has worked in semiconductor or microelectronics fabrication in operations or facilities planning organization.

Demonstrated skills in problem solving / troubleshooting.

This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Sr. Staff System Engineer:

Design experience and or field knowledge for both industrial and government projects, including mission-critical facilities.

Has worked in semiconductor or microelectronics fabrication in operations or factory planning organizations.

Active DoD TS/SCI with poly security per clearance business requirements.

Salary Range: $174,800 - $274,700The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
