Description We are offering an opportunity in the Higher Education sector located in LARGO, Maryland, United States. The role primarily involves the functions of an Accounts Payable Clerk, with a focus on processing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate records. This role provides the opportunity for a contract employment experience.Responsibilities: Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Maintaining precise records of customer credit Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary action to collect overdue payments Improving the bank reconciliation processes and simplifying the current procedures Utilizing various software systems for account reconciliation, data entry, and invoice processing Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the role Collaborating with a team to manage grants accounting, if applicable Ensuring compliance with the standards and regulations of the Higher Education industry. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Proven experience with Account Reconciliation Familiarity with Check Runs Proficiency in Coding Invoices Strong Data Entry skills Experience in Invoice Processing Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience in using Oracle for financial management Proficiency in QuickBooks for accounting purposes Familiarity with SAP for business operations and customer relations Ability to adhere to the ethical standards of the Higher Education industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
