Description:We are working with a research and consulting firm that provides a wide range of support to federal, state, and commercial clients. They offer multidisciplinary teams with nationally recognized skills in engineering, science, economics, public health, informational technology, and communications. They are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to develop structural designs for renovations and upgrades to existing buildings at a federal site in Indian Head, MD.
This position will be hybrid at the federal site in Indian Head, MD and will include interaction and support from personnel at the federal site, as well as from their Chantilly and Arlington, VA offices.
They were recently awarded the Energetic Comprehensive Modernization Plan which encompasses modernization of the Indian Head base designed to enhance the Navy's capacity for munitions production, addressing immediate demands and preparing for future surge and replenishment needs.
Skills:Structural engineering, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Civil engineering, Drafting, Structural design, Design, Engineering, Revit, Professional engineer, Structural steel, Concrete, Structural analysisAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field. A minimum of 5 years experience required, 10+ years is preferred. Professional Engineer License is preferred, but not required. At least 5 years of experience with designing structural components for industrial or commercial buildings (Vertical Structures). Experience working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
