Description We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Hanover, Maryland. The candidate will play a crucial role in our payroll process, focusing primarily on processing and benefits administration, time off accruals, and additional HR functions as needed. Responsibilities: Accurate and timely processing of payroll for less than 100 employees Monitor and manage three distinct payrolls Ensure all time-off requests are approved and accurately reflected in the payroll Handle active payroll for salaried employees, ensuring changes related to time off are implemented in the subsequent pay period Manage tracking and approval of Accounts Payable (AP) transactions Provide invoices to AP for benefits administration Utilize Excel formulas and Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions Administer 401k - RRSP and other benefit functions Ensure compliance with local payroll tax and multi-state payroll regulations Audit payroll activities and reconcile any discrepancies Manage payroll tax deposits, payroll tax reporting, and payroll tax returns Operate payroll software and liaise with payroll vendors as necessary Process bi-weekly payroll and full-cycle payroll as per the organization's schedule.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Familiarity with Ceridian and Dayforce Ability to manage 401k - RRSP Administration Experience with About Time software Understanding of Accounting Functions Auditing skills Ability to handle Benefit Functions Experience with ADP - Payroll Knowledge of Automated Payroll systems Proficiency in Benefits Payroll Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll Ability to handle Full Cycle Payroll Familiarity with HR Payroll System Knowledge of HRIS Payroll System Understanding of Local Payroll Tax Ability to handle Multi-state Payroll Experience with Multistate Payroll Familiarity with Payroll - In-House Experience with Payroll - Garnishments Understanding of Payroll - Multi-State Ability to manage Payroll - Under 100 Employees Understanding of Payroll Functions Experience in Payroll Compliance with a focus on detail Ability to handle Payroll Tax Deposits Proficiency in Payroll Tax Reporting Experience with Payroll Tax Returns Knowledge of Payroll software Familiarity with Payroll Vendor Ability to Process Bi-weekly Payroll Experience in Process Payroll Ability to Reconcile Payroll Proficiency in Excel Formulas Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
