As an Avionics Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations. You'll be responsible for moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components, and maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manuals.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience

A higher-level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings

Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering' and crimping techniques

Attention to minute details and see difference in drawing to each aircraft configuration

Able to work in small areas for long periods of time

Ability to work as a team to get the mission completed with little to no quality discrepancies

Ability to work on projects under little to no supervision

Must have own tools in good working order

Preferred:

Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL

Ability to mentor and guide subordinates

Basic understanding of spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pitot static equipment

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
