Description We are in search of a diligent Sr. Buyer to join our team located in GLEN BURNIE, Maryland, United States. The primary function of this role is to oversee the buying processes within our organization, focusing specifically on commodities within the food production industry. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage buying processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline and automate purchasing processes Collaborate with chefs and other team members to determine product needs and specifications Conduct thorough market research to identify potential vendors and products Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting Stay updated on market trends and changes impacting food production and commodities Utilize ERP Solutions to optimize buying processes and improve overall efficiency Regularly review and assess supplier performance. Requirements Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Profound knowledge of ERP Solutions and Accounting Functions Proven experience in Buying Processes and Food Production In-depth understanding of Commodities and Cost-Job Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent negotiation and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team High attention to detail and accuracy.
