Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry, Based in Glen Burnie, Maryland, we are in need of a proficient Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to be an integral part of our team.Responsibilities: Effectively handle medical insurance collections by engaging with insurance companies. Utilize your experience with Accounting Software Systems, Allscripts, and Cerner Technologies to streamline processes. Utilize the Advanced MD accounting system to manage and track collections. Perform billing functions and manage accounts receivable (AR) to maintain accurate customer credit records. Oversee the healthcare revenue cycle and healthcare reimbursement procedures. Carry out appeals and authorizations as part of the collection processes. Exercise your knowledge of the healthcare industry and healthcare insurance to optimize billing collection and cash collections. Actively call and follow up with insurance companies to collect outstanding payments. Perform benefit functions as part of your role in managing healthcare insurance. Ensure the collection processes are in line with the dynamic data exchange (DDE) and EHR SYSTEM requirements.Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Experienced with Allscripts Familiarity with Cerner Technologies Skilled in Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) Proficiency in using EHR SYSTEM Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) Capable of managing Appeals Knowledgeable about Authorizations Understanding of Benefit Functions Proficiency in Billing Functions Experience in Billing Collection Experience in Cash Collections Ability to Collect Outstanding payments Experience in Collecting Payments Understanding of Collection Processes Prior experience in the HealthCare Industry Knowledge of HealthCare Insurance Understanding of HealthCare Reimbursement Familiarity with HealthCare Revenue Cycle Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
