Structural Dam Safety Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Structural Dam Safety Engineer to join the East Region Dams Practice. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region.  The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities.  This position within our dedicated Dams Practice will report to one of the AECOM offices in the East Region including, but not limited to Atlanta, Georgia; Buffalo, New York; Charlotte, North Carolina; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Germantown, Maryland; Franklin, Tennessee; or Tampa, Florida.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide technical support for projects including stability and strength analyses, structural design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments, site inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures. Prepare structural evaluation reports, drawings, and specifications for dam projects.  Preparation of structural drawings and visual aids through coordination with CAD team.Prepare and perform quality reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.Develop engineering proposals and participate in client business development.Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.Assist and perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management.
