POSITION PURPOSE: To provide administrative services support to the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementation of administrative policies for the Office and Divisions.
Provides administrative support for office supplies, printers/faxes/copiers, office-related maintenance requests, moves, etc.
Answers telephones and takes messages.
Schedule and support meetings/video conferencing for staff, including the AD/DDs as needed.
Provides primary administrative support for grant action and associated activities, including hard copy files.
Arranges travel, prepare authorizations and vouchers for the AD and the Divisions.
Prepares visit requests and escorting visitors for staff, including the AD/DD's as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:
High School Diploma Required.
3 – 5 years of experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrated experience in applying good judgment in the absence of direct supervision, including recognition of problems and ability to refer them to the right person for resolution.
Requires knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and other Office of Science and DOE information systems (Concur, PAMS, SMART, etc).
Special Requirements:
Must utilize CONCUR and AdTrav travel system.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:This position is primarily sedentary.
