The Dining Manager oversees daily dining operations, ensuring exceptional service, efficiency, and resident satisfaction. This role is responsible for supervising team members, managing food service processes, and maintaining a safe, welcoming dining environment. The Dining Manager fosters a culture of teamwork and professional growth while ensuring compliance with Asbury’s policies, health regulations, and operational standards.Supervise daily dining operations, including task delegation, team motivation, and coaching. Ensure the dining room is set up appropriately before meals and smoothly transitions through service, adjusting to any operational challenges as they arise.Conduct pre-meal meetings and ongoing associate training to ensure the team is knowledgeable, efficient, and aligned with service expectations. Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions to staff as necessary, while encouraging them to be their best and continuously improve.Oversee food production planning, waste management, and record-keeping, adjusting the menu or service as needed based on resident and guest needs. Ensure all food is served while hot, and that dining experiences meet the highest standards of quality and timeliness.Resolve any issues encountered by wait staff or residents promptly. Monitors wait staff performance to ensure they meet job responsibilities, maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, and respond to resident and guest requests in a timely fashion.Maintain a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere in the dining room. Set an example for wait staff with efficient, thorough, and positive service, discussing areas of improvement and offering constructive feedback.Assist with staffing matters, including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, vacation requests, and managing progressive discipline. Ensure proper paperwork is completed for coaching and counseling of staff members as needed
