Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant role based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The successful candidate will be joining our team, functioning primarily in accounting software systems, and will be expected to utilize their skills in a variety of accounting functions within the telecom industry.Responsibilities: Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to carry out accounting functions efficiently. Perform tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) using ADP - Financial Services and Great Plains (GPAC). Conduct regular auditing to ensure financial procedures and systems are properly implemented and maintained. Participate in budget processes, ensuring all financial planning is accurate and timely. Monitor and maintain ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for efficient financial management. Resolve customer credit inquiries, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and accurately. Monitor customer credit accounts, taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments where necessary. Maintain accurate customer credit records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring all customer requirements are met. Requirements Must have at least 3 years of experience in the accounting field Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is necessary Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is expected Ability to perform various Accounting Functions is required Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed Auditing skills are essential Familiarity with Budget Processes is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
