We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Avaya Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Teams, Cisco technologies, and Avaya system architecture. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining unified communication solutions to ensure efficient and seamless communication across our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Avaya products, integration with Microsoft Teams, and Cisco networking, with specific experience supporting hybrid Avaya environments (Analog, Digital, VoIP, and SIP endpoint management).
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support Avaya solutions: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Avaya communication systems, including voice, video, and messaging platforms.
Support Avaya hybrid environments: Manage and troubleshoot Analog, Digital, VoIP, and SIP endpoints within Avaya systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Microsoft Teams integration: Configure and integrate Avaya systems with Microsoft Teams for unified communications, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
Cisco networking: Collaborate with network teams to ensure seamless integration of Avaya and Cisco solutions, including VoIP systems, switches, routers, and other networking components.
System monitoring and troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and resolve technical problems related to Avaya, Teams, and Cisco environments.
User training and support: Provide training and technical support to users on Avaya systems and Microsoft Teams to ensure effective usage and resolution of any issues.
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of Avaya infrastructure, configurations, and processes for both technical teams and end users.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure unified communication systems are secure, scalable, and meet organizational needs.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Avaya engineering, implementation, and support.
Strong experience with Avaya Aura Communication Manager, Avaya Session Manager, and related Avaya systems.
Experience supporting Avaya hybrid environments, including Analog, Digital, VoIP, and SIP endpoint management.
Experience integrating Avaya with Microsoft Teams and working knowledge of Teams architecture.
Cisco networking experience, particularly with VoIP systems, and a solid understanding of routers, switches, and other network infrastructure.
Familiarity with SIP trunking, VoIP, and QoS.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in managing complex communication systems.
Ability to collaborate across teams and provide user support and training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Avaya certifications (e.g., ACIS, ACSS).
Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
Experience with cloud-based unified communications platforms.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Duration:12-18 Month Contract
Compensation:$100-$110/hr.
