Read on.What you will do:Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols to guide fabrication workLay out, measure, and fabricate steel components according to exact specificationsPerform MIG welding as the primary method; use TIG or Stick welding as needed for specific tasksOperate saws, shears, ironworkers, brakes, and layout equipmentTack and prep materials for welding and finishingInspect welds and finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and durability requirementsMark up shop drawings, document revisions, and report design discrepancies or fabrication issuesIdentify potential hazards and apply appropriate protections to materials and the work area before welding or grindingMaintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine checks and maintenance on tools and equipmentCommunicate clearly and respectfully with shop supervisors and team members to ensure a safe, efficient workflowMinimum Qualifications:2+ years of experience in steel or metal fabricationStand and walk for long periods (up to 8 hours/day)Regular bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)Use of hands and arms for welding, tool use, and equipment operationVisual acuity to read measurements, drawings, and perform precision workProficient in MIG weldingAbility to read and understand technical drawings and specificationsPerform accurate math calculations (e.g., measurement conversions)Attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to follow detailed work instructionsStrong problem-solving and time management skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:3+ years of steel fabrication experience (training available for the right candidate)Experience with TIG and Stick WeldingFamiliarity with stainless steel and aluminum fabricationAWS D1.1 , AWS D1.2 and D1.3 welding certificationEssential Equipment Used:MIG welders (and other necessary welding machines)Fabrication hand tools (grinders, squares, levels, etc.)Heavy machinery (ironworker, shear, press brake, saws, drill press)Plasma and oxyacetylene cutting toolsForklifts and overhead cranes (training provided for uncertified operators)PPE including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and ear protectionWorking ConditionsIndoor shop environment with fabrication work in progress throughout the dayExposure to noise, paint fumes, sparks, and moving equipmentMondayFriday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PMPre-Employment RequirementsMust pass a criminal background checkMust pass a drug screeningWhat we offer:Paid Time Off and major holidays100% employer-paid medical100% employer-paid life, short and long-term disability, and AD&D insuranceDental andVision Insurance401(k) retirement planA casual and fun work environment and much more!recblid mrwxylnz1pgxj5f8nbgf7jqujxs98pApply Now
