Job description

Fast paced, specialty Functional Medicine and Medical Spa practice in Frederick MD is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, energetic, dependable and motivated Certified Medical Assistant, currently licensed in the state of Maryland, to fulfill both clinical and administrative tasks as needed. Our office provides integrative healthcare, including functional and regenerative medicine, and medical aesthetics. The CMA will work directly with the healthcare providers and the office manager to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service.

Must possess clinical and procedural skills, verbal communication skills, demonstrate problem- solving and critical thinking skills. Must work well in a team. This position also requires a fondness for having fun and working with people.

Duties Will Include (but not limited to):

Greeting patients in person or on the phone, answering or referring questions.

Cross-training is required

Schedule patient appointments

Stock treatment rooms/ IV carts/ Linen closet

Work with EHR, we currently are using Kareo

Direct/accompany patients to the treatment room and ensure supplies, instruments and equipment are set up.

Verify patient information by reviewing/recording medical history, taking vital signs, confirming purpose of visit.

Document in patients record

Support patient care delivery by supporting healthcare providers during appointment, preparing lab specimens, disposing of used supplies, sterilizing instruments, phoning in prescriptions.

Manage supplies inventory

Patient education regarding diet and supplements

Working well in a team environment and to get along with other employees.

Help to maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient information confidential.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading current professional literature.

Job Type: Full Time

Per Hour to Start: $18.00 per hour

Experience: 1 to 2 years preferred

Benefits offered:

Regular work hour, M-F 8:30 to 5:00 (6:00 p.m. on Tuesday’s)
