Key Responsibilities:
-> Teach science to students in Grades 5–8, including life, physical, and earth sciences
-> Develop and implement hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that connect with real-world concepts
-> Collaborate with colleagues to integrate science with other disciplines (especially the arts)
-> Create a supportive and engaging classroom culture that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and respectful discussion
-> Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative approaches
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science, science education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Teaching experience with upper elementary and/or middle school students
Knowledge of and enthusiasm for progressive, student-centered teaching approaches
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A flexible, collaborative spirit and love of nature and the arts
