Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in EDGEWATER, Maryland. This role involves handling various accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and utilizing various accounting software systems. Responsibilities Processing and storing vendor bills in an organized manner Creating and forwarding bills as per the established procedures Reviewing account coding to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations Ensuring the smooth flow of bills and timely payment to vendors Utilizing accounting software systems for efficient data entry and management Checking processing to ensure accurate and timely payments Addressing and resolving any discrepancies in the accounts payable process Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas for data management and analysis Ensuring all accounting functions are carried out in accordance with industry standardsRequirements Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required Familiarity with accounting functions and accounts payable processes (AP) Experience in check processing and data entry is necessary Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to meet deadlines Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to accounts payable.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
