You will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.HOW A JUNIOR STORAGE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software

Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures

Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues

Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software

Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages

Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels

Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions

Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations

Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines

Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users

May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent years of experience with relevant active technical certifications (e.g. RedHat, NetApp, Cisco, VMware, or Certified Administrator for Citrix® NetScaler)

Required Skills

(2-4) years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual hardware/software within an Enterprise data center leveraging NetApp or other storage solutions

Must be able to work with oversite to execute against a set of requirements

Must be able to install, configure, and maintain the following: NetApp suite of products and VMware suite of products leveraging NetApp storage

Must be able to work as a team under Senior Level SAs

Preferred - 1 or more certifications:

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

NetApp Certified Data Administrator or other NetApp certification

VMware Certified Professional (VCP) - Data Center Virtualization

Security Clearance Level:

MBI (obtain & maintain)

Location:

This position must be onsite for work that requires smart-hands in either College Park, MD or Boulder, CO, and hybrid at times
